How to thread a traditional hand sewing needle.

|
Find needle with an eye big enough to see, at least you think you can see it.
Cut the end of the thread at just the right angle to make it thin enough to go through the needle eye.
After three tries, stick the end of the thread into your mouth to apply spit. Try to get the wet end into the hole you are starting to think you can't see.
Dig through your sewing box to find the needle threading tool you know you bought last year. Once you find it, unbend the wire so it is the correct shape.
Try to put the wire into the hole you now are convinced you cannot see. After three more attempts if you are successful and the wire loop is through the needle eye, find the thread again and put it through the wire loop.
Now pull the needle threader back and the needle is threaded. Yes!
Now you can sew that button onto your favorite shirt.
Look at the clock, and realize you are late for work so find a different shirt to wear to work today.
Put $1.25 into the swear jar and go to work. Drop the shirt and button off at the dry cleaner's on the way home.
